The Difference: What is it? “The Difference” is an annual city-wide retreat sponsored by 9 churches in our community. The weekend involves in-depth small group discussion and study, worship led by Branch and a great speaker. There is also lots of recreation, sports tournaments, and great fellowship with youth from all over our great community! Youth MInistries United is a group of youth ministers in the community that feel like God has some great things in store for the amazing youth of Nacogdoches. The Difference is our chance to come together and celebrate how God is using the youth while they search for the ways God will use them to make a difference in their families, their churches, their community, and their world!
Texas Annual Conference Mid-Winter- Mid-Winter camp at Lakeview is a highlight of many of our youth’s spring semester. Great music, entertaining speakers, and activities such like Lazer Tag, Paint Wars, Comedy Sports set the backdrop for a great weekend of small groups and worship. This Friday thru Sunday afternoon is a great chance for youth from all over the Texas Annual Conference to get together!
U.M. ARMY- U.M. ARMY is an acronym which stands for
United Methodist Action Reach-Out Mission by Youth. It is an opportunity for
youth and adults to experience Christian growth through mission, worship and
fellowship. Participants combine their strengths to meet home repair and
maintenance needs of those unable to help themselves. It is for students who
have completed at least one year of High School. U.M. Army is an incredible faith-building
experience that is also filled with fun.
U.M. ARMY is for all youth who have completed the 9th, 10th,
11th or 12th Grade.
Summer
Camp at Lakeview!- Summer camp is a
highlight of the summer featuring age level camps for elementary (incoming 4th/5th
graders), junior high (incoming 6th/7th graders),
mid-high (incoming 8th/9th graders) and senior high
(incoming 10th-12th graders). Recreational activities include kayaking,
hiking, ropes courses, sports, arts and crafts, and swimming. Great worship is
a staple of summer camp along with in-depth bible studies, and the formation of

Summit-the highest point or part, as of a hill, a line of or any
object; top; apex.For your junior high youth SUMMIT is usually the summit of their summer
months! SUMMIT is a mission experience
for Junior High youth that have completed 6th, 7th, and 8th
grade. It
is an opportunity for junior high youth to experience Christian growth through
mission, worship and fellowship. Participants combine their strengths to meet
home repair and maintenance needs of those unable to help themselves. The days are capped off by fun activities
such as swimming or ice cream parties.
Each night the youth come together for encouraging and uplifting
worship. SUMMIT is a great opportunity for your Junior High youth to experience mission and service that truly makes a difference in people's lives.
